Staff Physician

About the Role

The Staff Physician provides clinical care to patients, based upon their specialty training, through an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach that takes into consideration the psychosocial aspects of both health and disease.

Responsibilities

• Provides high-quality clinical care in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Maintains the standard of clinical care, using diagnostic testing appropriately and providing appropriate treatment.
• Uses diagnostic testing cost-effectively while ensuring appropriate treatment.
• Seeks consultation and makes referrals when appropriate.
• Effectively engages patients in their care.
• Demonstrates professionalism and integrity in all aspects of patient care.
• Considers the psychosocial aspects of both health and disease.
• Maintains complete and comprehensive documentation.
• Shows meaningful progress toward quality improvement goals.

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. in a primary care specialty with completion of an accredited residency training program.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible.
• Appropriate Maryland licensure and clinical certification, DEA, and Maryland CDS.
• Interest in and/or experience in community health settings.
• Experience working in a diverse environment.

Skills

• Ability to work with a multidisciplinary clinical team.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, electronic medical records, and practice management systems.
• Excellent communication and team skills.
