Staff Pharmacist - Long Term Care

Location: Ebenezer Pharmacy, Arden Hills, MN – 80 hours bi-weekly, day/evening shifts with rotating weekends.

About the role

This position oversees daily pharmacy operations in the absence of the Pharmacist-in-Charge, ensuring safe and accurate prescription fulfillment while upholding exceptional customer service. The role includes supervising pharmacy staff, supporting workflow efficiency, and maintaining compliance with all state-specific rules and regulations. Success requires sound independent judgment, strong leadership, and a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements, along with a deep commitment to Ebenezer's mission and vision.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and enter prescriptions into the online pharmacy prescription system.
• Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions filled.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds.
• Assist Pharmacist-in-Charge to train, coach, and manage pharmacy staff.
• Create and maintain patient profiles and prescription information to provide accurate care.

Requirements

• Doctorate of Pharmacy
• Proficient knowledge of pharmacy information systems and data entry
• Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy practices and procedures
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word
• Mathematical abilities such as calculating discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, and volume; basic algebra; practical mathematics
• Active Minnesota Pharmacist license (PharmD MN Board of Pharmacy)
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• Immunization certification in the State of Minnesota within 30 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a Pharmacist
