North Central Surgical Center Hospital (NCSC) is a highly successful, Baylor Scott & White affiliated hospital located in Dallas, TX. We partner with the very best team members and medical staff in the area. We are an elective surgical focused hospital that performs over 12,000 procedures per year.
Opened in 2005, NCSC has 14 Operating Rooms and 30 Medical/Surgical Patient Rooms, and is conveniently located at Walnut Hill & I 75 in the prestigious North Park area. Specialties include Orthopedics, Spine, General Surgery, Pain Management, Urology, GI/Endoscopy, Plastic, and Podiatry Surgeries. Managed by United Surgical Partners International, NCSC is Joint Commission Accredited.
We are seeking a Staff Pharmacist to ensure the safe and effective use of medications, providing medication order verification, drug therapy monitoring, and patient care. Join our close-knit family-like team dedicated to treating patients as our own.
Responsibilities
- Verify medication orders
- Monitor drug therapies
- Compound and dispense medications
- Act as a patient advocate
- Supervise pharmacy technicians
- Participate in medical emergency response
- Ensure prompt work-site attendance
Qualifications
- Active pharmacist license in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
- BS or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
- Minimum of TWO years of hospital experience is required (waived with PGY1 & PGY2 pharmacy residency)
- Completion of a PGY1 pharmacy residency preferred
- Willingness to work weekend on-call shifts as needed
