Staff Pharmacist

About the role

Responsible in providing day to day operational services
Processes new and refill patient prescription orders, preparation, and dispense medications
Works closely with Pharmacy Technicians and Order Entry Technicians in the preparation and dispensing of medications
Performs accurately and efficiently when dispensing medications
Communicates with prescribers and other healthcare providers
Ensures safety practices and procedures are followed
Assists in the enforcement of all company and departmental policies and procedures
Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations related to pharmacy practices

Responsibilities

• Process new and refill patient prescription orders, preparation, and dispense medications
• Work closely with Pharmacy Technicians and Order Entry Technicians in the preparation and dispensing of medications

• Ensure safety practices and procedures are followed
• Afford assistance in the enforcement of all company and departmental policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations related to pharmacy practices

Requirements

• B.S. or PharmD Degree in Pharmacy
• Current Pharmacist Licensure in PA in good standing
• 1+ year’s recent experience in long term care (preferred), retail, or hospital pharmacy
• Experience and knowledge base of intravenous admixtures services preferred

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with English as the primary language
• Strong customer service skills, time management skills, and ability to problem solve
