Staff Pharmacist

Position Summary

The Staff Pharmacist will work closely with pharmacy staff, nurses, providers, and long-term care facilities to ensure safe, accurate, and timely medication dispensing and clinical support. This role involves both infusion and long-term care pharmacy services in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation
• Monitor patient medication therapies and provide clinical recommendations
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and facility staff regarding medication management
• Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding as needed
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare partners
• Participate in on-call rotation as required

Qualifications

• Active Texas Pharmacist license required
• Infusion pharmacy experience preferred
• Long-term care pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and clinical skills
• Iv/sterile compounding knowledge preferred
