About the role
Blend your skills as a strong communicator and educator to become a Staff Pharmacist. You will interpret and evaluate medication orders for patients, consult with healthcare professionals to optimize drug therapy, supervise pharmacy technicians, and provide drug information and guidance to support appropriate and cost-effective drug therapy.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and evaluate medication orders for patients
- Consult with healthcare professionals to optimize drug therapy
- Supervise activities of pharmacy technicians to ensure accurate compounding, dispensing, and timely drug administration
- Provide drug information and guidance related to appropriate and cost-effective drug therapy
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy
- Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist license (recent graduates and pharmacists eligible for reciprocity will be considered if licensure is complete before the end of the 90-day probationary period)
- One year of work in hospital pharmacy where IV admixtures, automated distribution functions, and clinical counseling were employed is preferred
- Good to excellent record in organization, accuracy, quality and quantity of work, and attendance
Clinical clerkships, residencies, and specialties in hospital-oriented environments are preferred.
