Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately while adhering to all regulatory standards and safety protocols
- Provide professional counseling to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient treatment plans and clarify prescription details
- Maintain meticulous records of prescriptions, inventory, and patient interactions in compliance with legal requirements
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service
- Conduct regular audits of medication stock levels, storage conditions, and expiration dates to ensure safety and compliance
- Stay informed about new medications, industry regulations, and best practices through continuous education
Skills
- Valid licensure as a registered Pharmacist in the relevant jurisdiction with current certification
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and pharmaceutical law
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills for managing prescriptions and inventory
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and electronic health records systems
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care with a positive attitude
