Staff Pharmacist

Guardian Pharmacy of Minnesota, a member of the Guardian family of pharmacies, is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our rapidly growing team in Sauk Rapids. About the role

This position ensures all prescriptions are filled accurately, legally, and on time, with proper packaging per facility requirements. You will review orders, verify patient safety, interpret prescriptions, and oversee pharmacy technicians while adhering to all federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare medications for final dispensing, including filling, order entry, and packaging
• Review completed orders and cycle-fill medications to ensure accuracy
• Verify the legality and pharmaceutical feasibility of prescriptions, considering patient allergies, drug interactions, and refill frequency
• Interpret prescription orders, exercising professional judgment for patient safety and legal compliance
• Adhere to all Federal and State Board of Pharmacy regulations
• Transfer prescriptions to other pharmacies as needed
• Answer questions from patients, doctors, and nurses
• Evaluate inventory levels, place orders, and manage cost-effective procurement
• Notify customers/facilities of out-of-stock items and expected fulfillment times
• Restock station supplies (vials, cassettes, labels, delivery tickets, etc.)
• Oversee and provide feedback on technician performance
• Log all medication error occurrences
• Perform other essential functions and duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
• Active, unrestricted State Pharmacist License
• 1+ years of related experience
• Advanced computer skills; experience with pharmacy operations systems preferred

Pay

Starting salary range: $131,040 – $141,440 based on experience.

Schedule

Varied shifts between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM, including 1 in 8 weekends with on-call responsibilities.
