About the Role

As a Staff Pharmacist, you will counsel physicians, nurses, and patients regarding drug therapy. You will perform or supervise the interpreting and filling of drug orders or the manufacturing and distribution of sterile and non-sterile drug items. Enforcing state law and regulatory agency mandates regarding control of the medication environment is a key responsibility. You will also provide support for and participate in patient management activities and other administrative processes as needed, while promoting the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical products.

Responsibilities

  • Counsel physicians, nurses, and patients on drug therapy.
  • Interpret and fill drug orders or supervise the manufacturing and distribution of sterile and non-sterile drug items.
  • Enforce state laws and regulatory agency mandates related to the medication environment.
  • Provide support for patient management activities and administrative processes.
  • Promote the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical products.
  • Offer consultative and other support as needed.

Requirements

  • Valid certificate of registration as a licensed Pharmacist issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Residency training in an acute care facility qualifies as hospital experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous hospital experience.

Pay

$98.04 - $111.12 per hour.
