About the role
Staff Pharmacist will be responsible for the preparation of compounded sterile products and related activities under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy. Assists in the supervision of IV technicians, interns and other support personnel.
Responsibilities
- Adheres to all policies and procedures
- Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique and CAPS Standard Operating Procedures
- Ensures pharmacy compliance with rules and regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy and other regulating agencies
- Reviews orders and prescriptions for admixing and dispensing
- Resolves order discrepancies and problems with customer pharmacy personnel
- Provides after-hours on-call coverage as needed
- Participates in CAPS Continuous Quality Improvement Program and performs Quality Control functions as assigned
- Assists in successful pharmacy operation: troubleshooting equipment problems, ordering supplies and maintaining inventory
- Maintains positive customer relationships
- May supervise IV Technicians and interns; reviews work for accuracy while ensuring compliance with CAPS SOPs

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or PharmD required
- 4+ years related experience required
- Applicable industry/professional certification required
- Valid New Jersey Pharmacist license issued by Pharmacy state board
- Ability to work non-standard schedule as needed
- On-call hours as needed

Pay
$127,253.37 – $142,497.06 per year
Schedule
- 9:30 am – 6:00 pm, Monday–Friday
- Alternating weekends
- Holidays and overtime as needed
