Schedule

10-hour shifts with a Wednesday through Tuesday rotation. Hours are 9:00 PM–7:30 AM and 10:00 PM–8:30 AM.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties of distribution, documentation, and compounding related to drugs, solutions, and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff.
• Reviews, compounds, dispenses, and monitors medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including dosing variations, nutritional needs, and disease states associated with the various age groups.
• Supervises pharmacy technician activities, including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel.
• Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice.
• Performs patient-focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.

Requirements

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor's or higher in Pharmacy.
• Licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of Georgia (upon hire).

Qualifications

• No prior work experience required.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
