Responsibilities
- Operate and manage cardiopulmonary bypass equipment during surgical procedures.
- Closely monitor patient vitals.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to develop and execute optimal perfusion strategies.
- Perform pre-op assessments.
- Maintain equipment readiness.
- Accurately document procedures and patient data.
- Adhere to safety and quality standards continuously.
- Stay current with evolving perfusion technologies and techniques.
Requirements
- Graduates of an accredited perfusion program.
- ABCP exam eligibility or Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP).
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and critical thinking skills.
- Experience with a wide variety of case types highly valued.
