Staff or Senior Consultant - Forensic Services

Responsibilities

Examines and interprets complex financial data, identifying patterns and detecting discrepancies or irregularities for forensic accounting projects for PYA clients.

Analyzes financial data effectively utilizing Microsoft Excel, including Pivot tables and complex formulas, accounting software, data analysis tools, and forensic accounting techniques.

Reviews financial records and transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness and then works with the PYA team to evaluate information objectively.

Affords potential fraud risks.

Presents effective investigative strategies.

Communicates complex financial information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing to PYA clients.

Provides assistance with litigation support matters as needed.

Displays a curiosity to learn from experienced leaders who support and guide the team.

Leads various work streams within a project, with guidance from senior leadership, by managing day-to-day engagement priorities individually and as a part of a team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting, auditing, or financial investigation experience at a professional services and/or consulting firm preferred
• Pursuit of or certification including Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Certified in Financial Forensic (CFF) preferred
• Demonstrated experience self-reviewing work product and exhibiting attention to detail
• Client-oriented work ethic, delivering high-quality results
• Creative problem solver with a high level of strategic, analytical, and conceptual skills and a passion for helping clients
• Ability to work irregular hours during investigations or legal proceedings
