About the role
The Staff Nurse I is a professional nurse who, with minimal supervision, assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the nursing care of surgical patients, and their families when appropriate, in the Operating Room at Main Campus Children's of Alabama for a Surgical Procedure.
Responsibilities
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the nursing care of surgical patients and their families in the Operating Room.
- Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, CRNAs, circulating nurses, and scrub nurses to provide comprehensive care in a sterile environment.
- Supports the hospital mission by exhibiting integrity, teamwork, innovation, commitment to personal development, and a commitment to children.
- Works in a multidisciplinary team setting within the operating room, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, CRNAs, circulating nurses, and scrub nurses.
Requirements
- Current BLS Certification
- Current Alabama Registered Nurse License
- Registered Nurse AL Single State or any of the following equivalent qualifications:
- Registered Nurse AL NLC Multi State
- Non-AL NLC Multi State
- An operating room experience is the epitome of teamwork, involving at least one Surgeon, one Anesthesiologist, one Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), one Circulating Nurse, and one Scrub Nurse or Certified Scrub Technician per patient.

Benefits
Full-time position on the Day Shift, Monday-Friday, 6:45am-3:15pm, with call.
Pay
Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Monday-Friday, 6:45am-3:15pm, Day Shift, 8-Hour Shifts.
