Staff Nurse- full-time/nights - Nephrology

Responsibilities

• Assess the needs of patients as assigned based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data.
• Provide appropriate age-specific nursing interventions that are consistent with the plan of care and standards of practice.
• Foster an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors.
• Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patients and staff.
• Utilize standard work in relation to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
• Contribute to the overall performance of the department through precepting and mentoring novice employees.
• Contribute to the department's growth and performance through hospital-system initiatives, cultivating nursing-informed evidence-based practices.
• Demonstrate continued professional growth through setting goals and participating in educational offerings.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Advanced resuscitative certification appropriate to population if serving in a charge nurse role.

Requirements

• Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse Basic Life Support (AHA CERT Only).
