Staff Nurse (FT) Nights with Day relief Medical Surgical

About the Role

Assess the needs of patients as assigned based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data while providing appropriate age specific nursing interventions consistent with the plan of care and standards of practice.

Responsibilities

• Foster an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors.
• Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patients and staff.
• Utilize standard work in relation to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
• Contribute to the overall performance of the department through precepting and mentoring novice employees.
• Contribute to department growth and performance through hospital-system initiatives cultivating nursing involved Evidence Based Practices.
• Demonstrate continued professional growth through setting goals and participating in educational offerings.
• Float to assist in other like units as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Advanced resuscitative certification appropriate to population if serving in a charge nurse role.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support certification
• Registered Nurse license
