Staff Nurse - Critical Care

About the role

The Staff Nurse Resource Pool II provides specialized nursing care across multiple units, requiring strong clinical judgment, leadership, and collaboration skills. This on-site, part-time role involves assessing, planning, and delivering family-centered patient care for individuals of all ages, with responsibilities including quality improvement, safety, education, and evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct nursing care within assigned scope.
• Provide physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety care tailored to patient needs.
• Demonstrate leadership, mentor staff, and support team collaboration.
• Perform patient-centered care, quality improvement, and safety duties.
• Contribute to staff education and clinical development.
• Utilize informatics and technology for efficient care delivery.
• Support provider staff and promote excellent customer service.

Qualifications & Skills

• BSN required or to be obtained within 5 years; active RN license in Ohio.
• Minimum of 2 years healthcare experience; experience in leadership or supervision is not required.
• Current BLS certification; additional certifications such as ACLS, NRP, and PALS to be completed within one year.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records (e.g., EPIC) and Microsoft Office preferred.

Additional Requirements

The role involves rotating shifts, including every third weekend, and may require temporary assignments across various units based on patient needs.
