Staff ML Infrastructure Engineer - Embodied AI

Location: Remote – US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

About the role

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and deployment of scalable ML training platforms
• Own and guide complex technical projects, making architectural decisions
• Consider projects' holistic impacts across multiple teams
• Proactively drive technical prioritization and collaboration
• Conduct technical interviews to shape the team with high standards
• Mentor and onboard junior engineers and interns

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems or advanced ML systems
• Proven track record of designing robust frameworks with durable APIs
• Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms with hands-on application
• Expertise in building reliable, high-performance systems on cloud infrastructure
• Experience across the ML development lifecycle, including MLOps practices
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
• Exceptional coding skills in Python or C++
• Strong interest in autonomous driving and its transformative potential
• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience

Pay

$189,300 – $290,700 annually
