Staff ML Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Staff ML Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Hospitality & Recreation space. This role will shape the design and delivery of production AI capabilities that enhance enterprise applications and support reliable business operations. The position combines hands-on engineering with architectural leadership, spanning AI agents, LLM-powered systems, and scalable microservices in a Java/Spring environment. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to move experimental concepts into dependable, production-ready software. In addition, you will influence technical strategy, engineering standards, and the operational maturity of AI-enabled services. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $130,000 – $190,000 annually Responsibilities Design, build, and deploy production-ready AI agents that integrate with enterprise applications Establish frameworks for monitoring and safety in LLM-powered applications Architect and implement scalable AI capabilities within a Java/Spring microservices environment Ensure engineering best practices for AI agent systems and operational excellence Make architectural decisions across AI services, APIs, and application integrations Collaborate to translate experimental models into reliable software delivery Mentor engineers and influence technical strategy across teams Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with distributed systems Strong proficiency in Python and Java with Spring, focused on enterprise-scale applications Expertise in production-grade AI applications and distributed systems Experience architecting and deploying AI agents and LLM-powered applications at scale Hands-on experience integrating AI into existing applications rather than standalone prototypes Strong understanding of advanced AI technologies and methodologies Benefits Commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion in the workplace Encouragement to apply even if all qualifications are not met Collaborative work environment with cross-functional teams Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
