This position, located in Huntsville, AL, will support Production Operation Systems and Technology as the technical subject-matter expert for the division, focusing on Manufacturing Engineering and related functions within digital tools such as SAP, CPLM, and SmartMES.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical SME for Manufacturing Engineering digital tools (SAP, CPLM, SmartMES).
• Apply Manufacturing Engineering fundamentals, including MBOMs, OBOM, and Work Instructions.
• Understand manufacturing flows and their interface with shop floor and Global Supply Chain.
• Develop cost/risk benefit summaries and recommendations for leadership.
• Utilize project management and manufacturing schedules software tools.
• Apply process improvement methodologies (e.g., value stream mapping, flow reduction).
• Manage cost through Earned Value and milestone payments.
• Perform data analysis and data mining.
• Collaborate with programs and functional organizations to interpret manufacturing facilitation and scheduling requirements.
• Combine material flow management expertise with information knowledge.
• Develop and manage achievable production schedules for an entire factory servicing multiple businesses.
• Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution.
• Engage with cross-functional teams and members from different technical backgrounds.

Requirements

• 12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s in Science STEM degree; 10 years with a Master’s; 8 years with a PhD.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance (current and within scope).
• Strong experience using manufacturing software (ERP, MES, PLM/PDM).
• Strong experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and demonstrate a high sense of urgency.
• Flexible work schedule to support out-of-service system testing.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Highly motivated self-starter, detail and quality-oriented, able to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in SAP.
• Experience in CPLM and SmartMES.
• Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel, Project, and PowerPoint skills.
• SAP Certifications.
• Understanding of MRP.
• Experience in system integration testing.
• Experience writing functional specifications.

Pay

Primary salary range: $169,000.00 – $253,600.00. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

Schedule

This position follows a 9/80 work schedule, allowing employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
