STAFF MANUFACTURING ENGINEER - CONTROLS ENGINEER (On-Site - Jonestown, PA)

- Design and develop PLC and SCADA systems for automated manufacturing and process control applications
- Program and configure HMI screens for operator interaction and process visualization
- Develop and maintain control systems architecture, including electrical schematics and control panel designs
- Lead commissioning, start-up, and validation of new control systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve control system failures to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with a cross-functional engineering team to integrate control solutions
- Lead and mentor a diverse, cross-functional team of mechanical and electrical technicians, establishing clear priorities aligned with organizational goals, providing ongoing coaching and performance feedback, and fostering an environment that supports skill development, accountability, and career progression
- Able to work towards completion of projects within defined schedules
Job Requirements
Understanding of safety systems and functional safety standards a plus
Digital Factory/Hydra experience a plus
Strong interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment
Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize objectives in response to evolving business conditions, capital planning, and new product launches
Capability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic global environment
Proficient in MS Office software, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
SAP experience a plus
Strong project management skills required
Vision Systems Experience
Visions system experience is a plus
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or 5+ years of experience in manufacturing controls or a similar discipline
Compensation
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $121,600 - $182,300 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
