Staff Machine Learning Engineer - Content and Contributor Intelligence (Remote - United States)

What You'll Do

• Carry out end-to-end analyses, manipulating data with SQL or Python, conducting statistical modeling, and proposing business ideas.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence.
• Work with large and complex textual and visual datasets.
• Develop and deploy machine learning models for both offline and online services, including fine-tuning transformer models for various input types.
• Build and productionize model pipelines within Python services.
• Promote and teach best practices in ML development and operations, and mentor newer engineers in these practices.

What It Takes to Succeed

• Experience in developing and producing machine learning models, especially in neural networks, computer vision, and large language models (LLMs).
• Knowledge of machine learning libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Spark MLlib, XGBoost, and Scikit-learn.
• Strong programming skills in Python or equivalent languages (Java, C++).
• A solid understanding of engineering and infrastructure best practices.
• The ability to identify promising solutions to new problems and persistently pursue them to completion.
• Experience with large language models (LLMs) and their APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Bedrock), including prompt engineering and evaluation.
