Staff/Lead Data Scientist (Bangkok based, Relocation provided)

About the role

The role is based in Bangkok and involves working on cutting-edge machine learning and big data platforms. You will design, code, and implement models to enhance customer experience, supply-side value, and business outcomes. You will also work with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, and implement models and algorithms to improve customer experience and business outcomes.
• Work with large datasets to discover actionable insights and drive improvements and innovation.
• Collaborate with developers and business owners to deliver daily results with high quality.
• Research and develop new ideas to make a difference in the field.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on data science experience.
• Excellent understanding of AI/ML/DL and proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark, and Scala.
• Can lead projects independently and work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in Computer Science / Operations Research / Statistics or other quantitative fields.
• Experience in NLP, image processing, and recommendation systems.
• Experience in data engineering and working with big data frameworks like Spark/Hadoop.
• Experience in data science for e-commerce and OTAs.

Skills

• Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or similar languages.
• Experience with data analysis and machine learning tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
