About the role
The Staff Internal Auditor will join Open Bank's Internal Audit team, contributing to the bank's commitment to innovation, diversity, teamwork, excellence, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Perform internal audits and SOX compliance testing under the guidance and supervision of the Audit Manager.
- Execute key control testing and perform assigned audit procedures in accordance with the established test plan.
- Document audit workpapers in a sufficient and precise manner, ensuring clarity for review.
- Learn and stay current regarding assigned business areas, operational activities, and industry trends.
- Apply internal audit concepts, approaches, and methodologies for risk analysis.
- Determine major risks, related key controls, magnitude of risks, and adequacy of the control environment.
- Aid in presenting conclusions on the adequacy of key internal controls.
- Aid in presenting results and conclusions of test-work to various levels of management, emphasizing risk rationales and root cause analysis.
- Aid in preparing proper, persuasive, and written audit findings and reports to communicate risk management strengths and weaknesses.
- Travel may be required.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- Professional, audit-related designation (CPA, CIA, CISA) preferred or actively pursued.
- 0-2 years of related work experience in internal auditing or banking, preferred.
- Present a professional image in dealing with customers, interdepartmental, and external representatives.
