About the role
We help high- and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families to enjoy a full life, while enabling them to preserve their wealth for future generations, and provide for the people, causes and communities they care about.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud administration
- Design/build Corient’s cloud platform foundation across Azure (with potential multi-cloud Azure exposure with multi-tenant Azure and multi-geo for Microsoft 365)
- Develop infrastructure-as-code frameworks using Terraform, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines that enable self-service developer workflows
- Data Protection, Backup, and DR (Disaster Recovery)
- Design and implement multi-region availability and DR strategies to ensure business continuity, RTO/RPO compliance, and resilience for mission-critical wealth management systems
- Database and storage backup monitoring
- Infrastructure monitoring and incident management
- Build observability, reliability, and security guardrails onto the platform from day one
- Establish real-time monitoring and continuous surveillance of system health (e.g., 3rd party data pipelines).
- Incident response, serving as first line of defense for outages. Includes troubleshooting bottlenecks and executing RCAs (Root Cause Analysis) for continuous improvement.
- Security and Compliance Enforcement
- Patch management – establish process and reviews to ensure security standards are maintained
- Audit readiness - Partner cross-functionally with Security, Data, and Application Engineering to deliver enterprise-grade infrastructure that meets ICFR, SOC-1, SOC-2, ISO 27001, and SEC compliance requirements
- Establish Kubernetes (EKS) standards including cluster architecture, networking, autoscaling, and cost optimization
- Contribute to M&A infrastructure integrations as Corient continues its acquisition strategy
- Architect serverless solutions using Azure Functions, AWS Lambda, and event-driven patterns to optimize cost, scale, and operational efficiency
- Build runbooks and standardized procedures for rapidly deploying infrastructure during M&A integrations, enabling repeatable, low-friction onboarding of acquired company environments
- Mentor and influence - even as an individual contributor, you’ll set technical direction and raise the engineering bar across the team
