Staff Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking an Entry-Level Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in West Valley City, Utah. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience and grow within our geotechnical division.

$28-33/hour based on experience

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct geotechnical exploration programs
• Perform field and laboratory investigations to assess subsurface and site conditions
• Analyze geotechnical findings and perform engineering calculations
• Prepare geotechnical reports and documentation for review by senior engineers
• Support and guide field inspection teams during site activities
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure timely project completion
• Assist with evaluating team performance and identifying training needs
• Perform general office administrative tasks as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Geotechnical, Civil, or Geological Engineering (or related field)
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering (Utah preferred)
• Proficiency in soil mechanics and geotechnical analysis
• Ability to solve engineering challenges with creativity and critical thinking
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Team-oriented mindset and professional attitude

Qualifications

• Familiarity with field logging, lab testing, or foundation design
• Demonstrated leadership or mentorship potential
• Passion for geotechnical problem-solving and innovation
