About the role
You’ll own Fomo’s two primary app surfaces: the mobile app (built with Expo) and the web app (React Router + Vite). The role is primarily frontend‑focused but engineers are encouraged to make changes across the stack where it makes sense. This position is in‑person in New York City, working in a new spacious office in Soho.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the mobile and web applications.
- Add new order types.
- Introduce new asset classes (e.g., perpetuals, prediction markets).
- Double down on new social features.
- Collaborate across the stack as needed, contributing to backend services written in TypeScript.
Requirements
- Staff‑level engineer (6+ years of experience).
- Deep understanding of React.
- Ability to devise and execute plans autonomously.
Nice to have
- Experience building in crypto (Solana or EVM preferred).
- Full‑stack experience, especially with TypeScript backend services.
- Familiarity with AI‑native development (most code written by agentic tools).
- Personal crypto trading experience.
