What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end technical procurement of capital equipment for multiple fab modules in high-volume IC substrate manufacturing
- Partner closely with Module Process Engineers to deeply understand process requirements, critical parameters, and success criteria for each module
- Develop comprehensive equipment technical specifications based on current module needs and future technology roadmaps
- Manage the full procurement cycle: supplier identification, RFQ preparation, technical evaluations, equipment demonstrations, benchmark studies, vendor scoring, and final recommendations
- Conduct rigorous technical assessments of equipment from global suppliers, focusing on capability, maturity, uptime, and long-term supportability
- Define tool acceptance criteria (FAT/SAT), installation requirements, qualification plans, and negotiate technical commercial terms including spares and service agreements
- Track emerging equipment technologies in logic nodes; provide strategic input into procurement decisions and CAPEX planning
- Support new line setup, capacity expansion, and overall equipment investment strategy tied to Tesla’s need
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in semiconductor equipment procurement, capital equipment buying, or equipment engineering with a strong procurement focus
- Solid module-level understanding of semiconductor or IC substrate fabrication processes (Plating, Etch, Lithography, CMP, Cleaning, etc.)
- Demonstrated success leading technical equipment selection and procurement projects in high-volume manufacturing environments
- Strong ability to convert module process needs into clear, rigorous equipment specifications and evaluation criteria
- Excellent vendor management, negotiation, and project management skills
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Expected Compensation: $132,000 - $300,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
