Staff Engineer, Structural
About the role
Review project plans and provide design services. Develop product solutions and prepare submittal drawings and calculations. Offer technical advice to support the integration of Contech’s products into site plans. Conduct structural analysis, hydraulic analysis, and geotechnical reviews. Provide drainage support for products such as corrugated metal pipe and plastic pipe. Work closely with in-house engineers, CAD Techs, Sales/Marketing Team, and external engineers. Provide technical support to the Operations/Manufacturing team for proper fabrication. Communicate and coordinate efforts with field sales staff and manufacturing team. Offer training and guidance to the team. Check work produced by team members for accuracy. Assist in the development of training programs and aids for Contech’s products. Maintain professional relationships and attend industry trade shows, seminars, and continuing education courses. Contribute to the writing and development of technical papers and product literature.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or related engineering degree.
- Structural, hydraulic, or geotechnical background preferred.
- EIT certification preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in civil site projects preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- AutoCAD skills proficiency preferred.
- Some exposure to Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Qualifications
