Staff Engineer-Mechanical

About the Role

This contract position (not temp‑to‑hire) is located on‑site at Hill Air Force Base in Utah and requires the engineer to sit onsite for the entire project duration. The role is not a design role; instead, the engineer supports the government client from their perspective by performing design submittal reviews, attending review conferences, coordinating with the client and contractors, and providing engineering support during construction. The work is project‑related and field‑based, focusing on a variety of federal buildings such as administration/office buildings, laboratories, server rooms, manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and maintenance facilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring project compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Create and maintain project schedules for small to mid‑size projects.
• Review HVAC and plumbing system deliverables (specifications, drawings, calculations, and basis of design documents) for new buildings for accuracy, clarity, coordination, codes, and standards.
