Staff Engineer, Guardian

Responsibilities

• Lead the prototyping of innovative product concepts at the intersection of feature flags and observability
• Apply expertise in observability to enhance understanding of software changes' impacts
• Collaborate across teams to architect advanced observability products aligned with business objectives
• Continuously integrate latest trends in development and observability into product enhancements
• Identify user experience improvements through data insights, leading implementation of enhancements

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience, proficient in full-stack development
• Strong background in observability systems, statistical analysis, and event-based metrics
• Advanced knowledge of data platforms, backend services, and cloud infrastructure
• Experience leading initial product development from concept to validation
• In-depth understanding of the observability landscape, including APM and OpenTelemetry
• Ability to work independently, defining project directions and requirements effectively
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Pay

• $182,600 – $251,020 annually
