Staff Engineer - Full Time - Remote

About the role

This role will drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process discipline, productivity gains, and operational consistency. You will partner with operational leaders and project stakeholders to standardize workflows, identify bottlenecks, and improve execution quality. The position offers the opportunity to create measurable efficiency gains and scalable operational improvements within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available. Compensation: $121,400 – $161,500 annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance across teams and initiatives
• Influence architectural decisions through collaboration and coaching
• Lead adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices and workflows
• Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve platform sustainability
• Champion software craftsmanship and operational excellence
• Mentor senior engineers and develop future technical leaders
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business objectives into technical strategies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• Proven experience leading technical initiatives across multiple teams
• Strong expertise in distributed systems, APIs, and cloud platforms
• Experience in Agile software development environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience mentoring engineers and technical leaders
