Staff Engineer - Full Stack

About the Role

The Full Stack Engineer is a fundamental part of the EnsoData technology team, taking ownership of critical systems spanning the full application, from the API, data pipelines, and other key backend infrastructure to customer-facing application interfaces. The person in this role will design, develop, test, and deploy updates to the EnsoSleep application end to end, including the API, data processing pipelines, the EnsoSleep Customer Dashboard, and internal system monitoring dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain EnsoData's interoperability interface by increasing breadth and depth of integrations, adding valuable new features, and maintaining documentation and test coverage
  • Design and build customizable report generation templates
  • Build and maintain the EnsoSleep Customer Dashboard and internal dashboards for monitoring services vital to the customer
  • Investigate and correct the root cause of interoperability, backend, and UI issues by working closely with product and Customer Success teams to gather information

About EnsoData

EnsoData strives to make healthcare more accurate, efficient, and affordable through waveform artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Using AI and machine learning, our software analyzes billions of data points collected from sensors placed throughout the human body. Our first solution, EnsoSleep, reduces the time clinicians spend analyzing, scoring and managing sleep studies. This results in a simplified and accelerated patient testing, diagnosis, and treatment workflow. Our AI-powered technology has the capability of informing health decisions beyond sleep medicine, from monitoring patient health in the ICU or through wearables, to detecting and capturing seizure data, to providing earlier detection of heart disease, diabetes, stroke, and Alzheimer's.

Here is a little about what we are doing in the world of sleep medicine:

  • EnsoHST - FDA-Cleared, AI-Powered Sleep Diagnosis Using Pulse Oximeters
  • EnsoSleep - FDA-Cleared PSG and HSAT Scoring and Study Management

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science
  • Healthcare technology experience is a bonus
  • Experience using AI tools in a design, development, or product workflows

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and justify design and architectural decisions effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Strong experience using AI tools to support research, ideation, development and documentation in daily work
  • Strong Typescript experience with React.js experience
  • Strong Python experience with frameworks like Flask, Django
  • SQL (Postgresql) and NoSQL (Mongo) experience
  • Experience with HL7 and FHIR data exchanges

We will give preference to candidates located in WI and in the Midwest US.
