Staff Engineer - Cryogenics

The user wants me to reformat a job posting into clean, well-structured semantic HTML. Let me analyze the content and apply the rules. Rules: - Use

for section headings (About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule) - Use
  • for lists of duties/requirements/benefits, and

for prose - Do NOT repeat the job title as a heading (the page already shows it) - Do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short

or drop it - Preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail - Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions - Include a section ONLY when the posting has real, specific content for it — never emit a heading followed by filler/placeholder text - Never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless the posting actually states them - Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones - Output ONLY the HTML fragment — no /, no markdown code fences Now, let's parse the job posting: 1. "About IonQ:" - This is company description, could be "About the company" or similar. But the rules say use

for section headings like "About the role". The posting has "About IonQ:" which is company info. I'll include it as a section maybe "About IonQ" or "About the company". The rules say "About the role" is an example heading. I think we should include company description as a section. 2. "Location: This role will be based onsite at our Boston, MA office. Travel: 10%, domestic and international. Job ID: 1912" - This is metadata. Should fold into a short

or drop. I'll include location and travel in a short paragraph, drop Job ID. 3. "The Role:" - This is the role description. Could be "About the role" heading. 4. "Responsibilities:" - list of duties. 5. "Requirements:" - list of requirements. 6. "Preferred Qualifications:" - list of preferred qualifications. 7. "The total compensation package includes base, bonus, equity, and a range of benefit options found on our career site. If this role has a commission structure, the compensation range below just reflects the base compensation range. Wage Transparency: $152,000—$190,000 USD Compensation will vary based on individual factors such as education, qualifications, and experience of the final candidate(s), specific office location, and calibration against relevant market data and internal team equity. Posted base salary figures are subject to change as new market data becomes available." - This is Pay information. Should include a Pay section. 8. "Our benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, matching 401(k), unlimited PTO and paid holidays, parental/adoption leave, legal insurance, and a home technology stipend. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided when a candidate receives an offer of employment." - Benefits section. 9. Then there's EEO/equal opportunity boilerplate, export control restrictions, etc. These should be removed as per rules: "Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions." So we need to output HTML with sections: About IonQ (or About the company), About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Preferred Qualifications, Pay, Benefits. But note: The rules say "use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)". So we should use those exact headings where appropriate. "Qualifications" could be used for Requirements and Preferred Qualifications? The posting has "Requirements" and "Preferred Qualifications". I'll use "Requirements" and "Preferred Qualifications" as headings (both are qualifications). The example includes "Qualifications" as a heading. I'll use "Requirements" and "Preferred Qualifications" as separate sections. Also "Skills" is not explicitly listed, but requirements include skills. I'll not create a separate Skills section. Now, let's structure: -

    About IonQ

(or "About the Company") - but the posting says "About IonQ:". I'll use "About IonQ" as heading. -

for the company description. - Then a short paragraph for location and travel: "This role is based onsite at our Boston, MA office with 10% domestic and international travel." -

    About the Role

(since "The Role:" is the heading). Use prose. -

    Responsibilities

    with
    • for each bullet. -

      Requirements

      with
      • for each bullet. -

        Preferred Qualifications

        with
        • for each bullet. -

          Pay

with prose for compensation details. -

          Benefits

          with
          • for each benefit. Now, ensure we don't include any boilerplate. The EEO and export control sections are removed. Also note: The posting includes "US Technical Jobs." and "US Non-Technical Jobs." sections - these are export control boilerplate, remove. Now, write the HTML fragment. Let's extract the content: About IonQ: The paragraph starting "IonQ, Inc. [NYSE: IONQ] is the world's leading quantum platform..." up to "IonQ is making quantum platforms more accessible and impactful than ever before." Location/Travel: "Location: This role will be based onsite at our Boston, MA office. Travel: 10%, domestic and international. Job ID: 1912" -> fold into a paragraph. The Role: "We are looking for a Staff Cryogenic Engineer for support and developing a cryogenic platform for diamond-based photonic interconnects between IonQ quantum processors. As a Staff Cryogenic Engineer, you'll be part of a cross-functional team whose mission is to lead IonQ on its journey to build the world's best quantum technologies to solve the world's most complex problems. In this role, you will be an integral part of the commercialization process for IonQ's SiV quantum memories, with applications across quantum computing, networking, and sensing. You will develop and mature cryogenic subsystems for defect-center based quantum memory nodes. Specifically, this involves engineering R&D-scale subsystems and processes into robust, reliable elements deployable at other IonQ and/or customer sites, which can be efficiently maintained and/or updated as the technology evolves." Responsibilities: four bullet points. Requirements: seven bullet points. Preferred Qualifications: six bullet points. Pay: "The total compensation package includes base, bonus, equity, and a range of benefit options found on our career site. Posted base salary figures are subject to change as new market data becomes available." Benefits: "Our benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, matching 401(k), unlimited PTO and paid holidays, parental/adoption leave, legal insurance, and a home technology stipend. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided when a candidate receives an offer of employment." Now, produce HTML. I'll write:
