Staff Engineer - Container Security
About the role
Our Engineering team is dedicated to visionary leadership, autonomy, and ownership, fostering a dynamic environment that drives innovation in cybersecurity. As a member of this team, you will contribute to shaping the future of cybersecurity by building and enhancing Zero Trust Segmentation solutions.
Responsibilities
- Build a new, innovative way to orchestrate Zero Trust Segmentation down to the application/pod level, identifying and blocking attack pathways in the container ecosystem.
- Understand and enhance modern container platforms like Kubernetes, Istio, OpenShift, AKS, EKS, GKE, etc.
- Own and design critical features and subsystems, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure implementations.
- Deliver rock-solid, maintainable code that supports our mission-critical enterprise infrastructure.
- Mentor junior engineers, new graduates, and interns, helping them develop into skilled professionals.
- Collaborate with the field organization and key customers to shape and refine our novel product offerings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience building distributed and scalable software systems.
- Proficiency in at least one higher-level language such as Go, Python, Java, etc.
- Experience with large, distributed, and scalable software systems.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and related technologies.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, networking concepts, and debugging skills.
- Experience with networking and security controls is a plus.
- General TCP/IP networking knowledge.
- Unix/Linux programming environment experience.
