Staff Engineer

Role & Responsibilities

• Architect and lead the design of scalable, fault-tolerant systems across microservices, data pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code frameworks.
• Own platform-wide engineering initiatives—set standards for observability, security, CI/CD, and DevOps tooling across multiple product teams.
• Mentor principal and senior engineers; elevate engineering culture through technical reviews, pair programming, and cross-team knowledge sharing.
• Drive technical debt reduction and system modernization strategies—prioritize, quantify, and execute architectural improvements with measurable ROI.
• Collaborate with product and security leadership to align infrastructure architecture with compliance, cost, and scalability requirements.
• Represent engineering in executive forums—translate complex technical decisions into business impact and advocate for long-term technical investments.

Skills & Qualifications

• Must-Have: Staff/Lead Engineer with expertise in UI development and backend experience (Angular 19, Ruby on Rails, Python).
• Experience with cloud technologies and enterprise-grade platform engineering.
• Strong understanding of microservices, data pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code frameworks.
• Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
• Expertise in observability, security, CI/CD, and DevOps tooling.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with business stakeholders and internal platform teams.
• Experience with infrastructure architecture and alignment with compliance, cost, and scalability requirements.
• Ability to represent engineering in executive forums and advocate for long-term technical investments.
