Celestica is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Hardware Platform Services team in Austin, Texas. This team designs and develops Cloud Hardware infrastructure, including Compute, Storage, AI servers, and Networking Switches.

Responsibilities

  • Gather requirements and provide technical solutions that span across systems.
  • Design and implement drivers and application software for next-generation CPU and GPU systems in data centers.
  • Develop, augment, and maintain software libraries to support computing on CPUs and GPUs.
  • Mentor and coach team members on technical skills and problem-solving approaches.
  • Review and maintain the quality of code going into production.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in C/C++ and other low-level programming languages and embedded systems.
  • 5+ years of experience with device drivers such as PCIe, I2C, and knowledge of BIOS, BMC, Secure Boot, and the Linux Kernel.
  • 5+ years of experience in hardware bring-up, validation of low-level interactions, and troubleshooting hardware/software interfaces.
  • Experience with platform/board bring-up, Linux kernel bring-up, kernel enablement, and upstreaming.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to articulate requirements and solutions to diverse audiences through written documents (e.g., architecture specifications) and verbal presentations in technical forums.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with main elements of CPU, DPU, memory, and NICs.
  • Experience designing and developing low-level software to enable data center hardware.
  • Prior experience with GPU libraries like CUDA and ROCm is a plus.

Physical Demands

  • Duties performed in a normal office environment.
  • May require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or detailed data.
  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse) are frequently required.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Typical experience: 9 to 15 years. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering required.
