Duties
- Leading and supervising preparation of engineering deliverables for electric substation projects such as: Electrical one-line drawings, protection system architecture, electrical network system architecture, detailed physical layouts, construction drawings and programming
- Equipment and material selection and specification and preparation of cost estimates and bills of material
- Control building design including AC and DC panels, batteries and charger
- Bid and construction contract documents
- Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) upgrades and additions
- Switchgear, bus work, recloser, and circuit breaker control and operation
- CT sizing and selection
- Relay panel design & wiring
- Advanced comprehension of protective relay applications (SEL, GE, Basler, ABB)
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program and 3 years of electrical engineering experience, consulting preferred.
- Master Degree in Electrical Engineering and 2 years of electrical engineering experience, consulting preferred.
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and 3 years of electrical engineering experience, consulting preferred.
