Responsibilities
- Conduct experiments and troubleshoot complex issues in prototype and fielded systems.
- Create electrical schematics and system designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Design and develop high-speed digital circuitry including PCIe, DDR4/5, Ethernet, SGMII, and USB interfaces.
- Develop FPGA logic using VHDL/HDL as part of system-level designs.
- Design, build, and document test setups, test cables, and test procedures for verification of electronic systems and subsystems.
- Apply mathematical and engineering principles to electrical designs and system architecture.
- Perform testing and validation to ensure reliability, performance, and safety standards are achieved.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams as well as external customers, suppliers, and partners.
- Support proposal and quotation activities when technical input is required.
- Maintain a safe and organized lab and workspace.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to other engineers and technicians.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, in a field related to specific position.
- Advanced engineer with 8-12 years of career experience, with bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or master’s degree.
- Experience in high-speed digital circuit design (PCIe, DDR4/5, SGMII, Ethernet, USB).
- Experience in low-speed digital interfaces (SPI, I²C).
- Experience with differential signaling and high-speed signal integrity considerations.
- Experience with FPGA design using VHDL/HDLEmbedded system architecture and microprocessor-based designs.
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB design using Altium.
- Experience with version control systems (Git, Subversion, or similar).
- Experience with electrical lab instrumentation including oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic analyzers, and data acquisition systems.
- Experience with hands-on lab development, bring-up, and debugging of electronic hardware.
- Experience with hands-on hardware assembly skills including precision soldering, component rework, and prototype modification.
- Experience with technical documentation and design authorship.
- Informal technical leadership and mentorship of other engineers.
- Clear communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a collaborative environment.
