Responsibilities

  • Conduct experiments and troubleshoot complex issues in prototype and fielded systems.
  • Create electrical schematics and system designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Design and develop high-speed digital circuitry including PCIe, DDR4/5, Ethernet, SGMII, and USB interfaces.
  • Develop FPGA logic using VHDL/HDL as part of system-level designs.
  • Design, build, and document test setups, test cables, and test procedures for verification of electronic systems and subsystems.
  • Apply mathematical and engineering principles to electrical designs and system architecture.
  • Perform testing and validation to ensure reliability, performance, and safety standards are achieved.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams as well as external customers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Support proposal and quotation activities when technical input is required.
  • Maintain a safe and organized lab and workspace.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to other engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, in a field related to specific position.
  • Advanced engineer with 8-12 years of career experience, with bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or master’s degree.
  • Experience in high-speed digital circuit design (PCIe, DDR4/5, SGMII, Ethernet, USB).
  • Experience in low-speed digital interfaces (SPI, I²C).
  • Experience with differential signaling and high-speed signal integrity considerations.
  • Experience with FPGA design using VHDL/HDLEmbedded system architecture and microprocessor-based designs.
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB design using Altium.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git, Subversion, or similar).
  • Experience with electrical lab instrumentation including oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic analyzers, and data acquisition systems.
  • Experience with hands-on lab development, bring-up, and debugging of electronic hardware.
  • Experience with hands-on hardware assembly skills including precision soldering, component rework, and prototype modification.
  • Experience with technical documentation and design authorship.
  • Informal technical leadership and mentorship of other engineers.
  • Clear communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a collaborative environment.
