About the role
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Designer, Brand based in the United States. This is a senior individual contributor role responsible for defining and elevating the visual identity of a globally recognized developer-focused brand across all marketing and digital touchpoints.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the brand’s visual system, ensuring consistent application across all marketing, product-adjacent, and external surfaces while continuously refining it based on performance and evolving needs.
- Lead the design and ongoing evolution of the company website, including information architecture, layout systems, interaction design, and responsive execution.
- Define and maintain the marketing design system in Figma, including components, patterns, and tokens used across teams.
- Extend the brand into product and AI-focused experiences through illustration, motion, and visual storytelling systems.
- Set and uphold a high craft standard across all marketing design output through reviews, feedback, and mentorship of designers and contractors.
- Partner with marketing leadership to translate strategy into cohesive brand direction, campaigns, and visual positioning.
- Design for physical and experiential surfaces such as events, trade shows, print, and merchandise to ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints.
- Develop and implement AI-assisted creative workflows, including asset generation systems, prompt libraries, and scalable design pipelines.
Requirements
- This role requires a senior-level brand designer with deep experience building and scaling visual systems across web, product, and marketing environments. 8+ years of experience in brand, visual, and web design, ideally at staff or principal level within SaaS or developer-focused products.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end brand systems, web design at scale, illustration, and motion work.
- Experience owning or significantly contributing to design systems in Figma across large, distributed teams.
- Strong UX/UI fundamentals with hands-on experience designing responsive web experiences in production environments.
- Proven ability to translate high-level brand strategy into visual systems and communicate design decisions to executive stakeholders.
- Experience collaborating with agencies, contractors, or external creative partners while maintaining creative direction and quality standards.
- Fluency with generative AI tools in real production workflows, including image, video, and creative automation use cases.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Interest in developer tools, technical ecosystems, or AI-driven products is highly valued.
