Staff Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• To design BAW devices employing a variety of design techniques, including ladder filters, coupled-resonator (CRF), and hybrid filters.
• To perform acoustic and electromagnetic (EM) simulations using not only commercially available tools but also Qorvo's state-of-the-art internally developed tools.
• To layout devices and generate photomask sets.
• To perform device characterization and diagnostics using the latest RF/Microwave test equipment.
• To work in a team by contributing one’s RF skills to integrated module designs.
• To continuously improve design flow, cycle time, and schedule.

Qualifications

• PhD or master’s degree in electrical engineering or physics with focus on RF is preferred. Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or physics with an additional 3 years design experience is required.
• Experience with schematic design, RF and EM simulation, and design layout is preferred.
• 3+ years direct experience in acoustic design (BAW or SAW) is preferred.
• Knowledge of AWR-Microwave Office and HFSS design tools is preferred.
• Understanding of microelectronic fabrication and high-volume manufacturing is preferred.
• Good communication skills.
• Self-driven, highly motivated and high energy.
• Proven track-record with self-owned projects.
