Staff Design Engineer - Americas

About the role

This role combines excellence in both design and technical implementation of features. You'll work on challenging design problems, help others improve their designs, and consult on bespoke design work needed by product engineers.

Responsibilities

• Redesign our mobile web app by talking with customers and implementing the design system.
• Built a set of flexible, composable components in our design system for easy setup wizards.
• Helped a Product Engineer improve the information hierarchy and scannability of their design for candidate assessments.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should:

• Have a strong foundation in both design and engineering.
• Be comfortable working on both design systems and implementing features.
• Have experience designing and implementing features for hundreds of users.
• Be able to iterate on designs based on user feedback and business needs.

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

• At least 2 years of continuous experience as an Engineer or a Designer.
• Experience designing products and shipping code to hundreds of users.
• Excellent proficiency in both Design and Engineering.

Skills

Key skills include:

• Strong visual design and user interface (UI) skills.
• Proficiency in both design and engineering practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
