About the role
The Cincinnati - OH VA Medical Center is seeking a highly qualified full-time Dentist.
Schedule
Monday through Friday - daytime hours with 24/7 responsibilities. Must be available to meet the needs of the department and medical center. Tour of duty will be established as per service need.
Responsibilities
- Perform only those procedures for which privileges are granted by the Cincinnati VA Medical Center.
- Provide direct patient care for inpatients and outpatients in assigned settings.
- Offer consultative services for patients referred from other outpatient services, inpatient wards, urgent care, or emergent care areas within the VA Medical Center or Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs).
- Deliver dental care for patients across various age groups and medical conditions.
- Demonstrate proficiency in diagnosis, restorative procedures, removable and fixed prosthodontic procedures, periodontal procedures, endodontic procedures, exodontia, minor oral surgical procedures, and implantology.
- Maintain a practical working knowledge of pharmacology and dental management of medical diagnoses.
- May be assigned administrative duties.
Requirements
- Full and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in any state.
- Graduation from an ADA-accredited dental school.
- Completion of an accredited residency in the applicable dental specialty, where applicable.
