The role requires leading a focused team and collaborating across functions to develop and maintain a market data infrastructure that supports the organization's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain market data components, including feed handlers, normalization, distribution, and connectivity to trading venues.
• Design low-latency, high-throughput systems for real-time market data used by trading systems.
• Participate in reliability efforts including observability, on-call duties, and incident response.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code to maintain and improve system performance.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver market data capabilities.

Requirements

• Over 5 years of backend engineering experience, with a focus on production low-latency systems.
• Experience with market data systems such as feed handlers, normalization, or distribution.
• Proficiency in low-latency Java or C++ and familiarity with high-throughput messaging technologies like Aeron or SBE.
• Knowledge of venue/exchange connectivity and market data protocols such as FIX, ITCH/OUCH, and multicast.
• Proven ability to deliver features end-to-end and operate the systems built.
• Responsible use of generative AI to enhance workflow efficiency, cost, and quality while maintaining human oversight.

Pay

Annual base salary range: $207,485 to $244,100 USD (excluding equity and bonus). Total compensation may include equity, bonuses, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
