About the role
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a senior systems engineer to lead the design, integration, and sustainment of advanced technologies, including anechoic chambers, hardware-in-the-loop platforms, and emerging AI-enabled infrastructure. The role involves working directly with Government partners and industry vendors to deliver secure, high-performance test and compute environments supporting national-level endeavors.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with Government partners and industry vendors to deliver secure, high-performance test and compute environments.
- Lead complex engineering projects in production environments.
- Represent organizational capabilities to customers and stakeholders.
- Introduce yourself to management, team leads, and stakeholders during the first 30 days of employment.
- Collaborate in a cross-functional team environment on mission-guided projects.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, test cutting-edge feature enhancements, and manage enterprise architecture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience, or Master's Degree with 10 years of experience.
- Four (4) years of additional relevant experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance required.
- DoD 8570 Certification for IAT Level II or higher prior to start date (example: Security+ CE).
- Broad technical background across IT, networking, software development, and cybersecurity.
- Proven experience leading complex engineering projects in production environments.
- Proven ability to represent organizational capabilities to customers and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Experience with U.S. Government contracts or defense systems.
- Familiarity with the construction and acquisition, integration, and operational readiness of anechoic chambers into secure facilities.
- Experience with the design, prototyping, installation, and integration of hardware-in-the-loop systems.
- Knowledge of liquid-cooling design for high-density data centers and power-distribution engineering.
