Staff Cyber Systems Engineer

About the role

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a senior systems engineer to lead the design, integration, and sustainment of advanced technologies, including anechoic chambers, hardware-in-the-loop platforms, and emerging AI-enabled infrastructure. The role involves working directly with Government partners and industry vendors to deliver secure, high-performance test and compute environments supporting national-level endeavors.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Government partners and industry vendors to deliver secure, high-performance test and compute environments.
• Lead complex engineering projects in production environments.
• Represent organizational capabilities to customers and stakeholders.
• Introduce yourself to management, team leads, and stakeholders during the first 30 days of employment.
• Collaborate in a cross-functional team environment on mission-guided projects.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, test cutting-edge feature enhancements, and manage enterprise architecture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience, or Master's Degree with 10 years of experience.
• Four (4) years of additional relevant experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance required.
• DoD 8570 Certification for IAT Level II or higher prior to start date (example: Security+ CE).
• Broad technical background across IT, networking, software development, and cybersecurity.
• Proven experience leading complex engineering projects in production environments.
• Proven ability to represent organizational capabilities to customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience with U.S. Government contracts or defense systems.
• Familiarity with the construction and acquisition, integration, and operational readiness of anechoic chambers into secure facilities.
• Experience with the design, prototyping, installation, and integration of hardware-in-the-loop systems.
• Knowledge of liquid-cooling design for high-density data centers and power-distribution engineering.
• Experience with the design, prototyping, installation, and integration of hardware-in-the-loop systems.
