Staff Cyber Security Engineer – AIDR/AISPM
About the role
The Staff Cyber Security Engineer is a senior individual contributor who will provide technical leadership in the design and advancement of cyber security solutions across complex environments. This role will lead cross-team security initiatives, influence architectural decisions, and address elevated security risks through deep technical expertise and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- (40%) Lead security initiatives across multiple teams; provide technical direction, guidance, and mentorship to engineers and security practitioners.
- (25%) Lead investigation and response to complex security incidents; drive root cause analysis and long-term risk remediation.
- (15%) Contribute to development and refinement of security standards, patterns, and controls aligned with risk and business objectives.
- (10%) Partner with engineering, infrastructure, and platform teams to embed security into system design and delivery.
- (10%) Design and implement resilient security controls across infrastructure, cloud, and application environments; address complex threat scenarios and incorporate emerging cybersecurity and technology trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering; or related field of study or equivalent, relevant work experience
- 8+ years of experience working in cybersecurity, security operations, IAM, PAM, cyber defense, or related technical roles
- Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls across infrastructure, cloud, and application environments
- Prominent ability to lead complex technical work, operate independently, and influence security outcomes across multiple teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering; or related field of study or equivalent, relevant work experience
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering; or related field of study or equivalent, relevant work experience
- Possession of industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, and/or cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security)
- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, security operations, IAM, PAM, cyber defense, or related technical domains
- 2+ years of experience applying frameworks such as OWASP Top 10 for LLM applications, MITRE ATLAS, and NIST AI Risk Management
- 2+ years of experience focused on securing AI/ML environments and other emerging technologies
- Knowledge of AI security tooling, model monitoring, AI governance platforms, and AI-specific security controls

Benefits
Salary Range (unless Otherwise Noted Below): $133,500.00 - $241,900.00
Full Salary Range For Position: California: $153,500.00 - $302,400.00
Colorado: $133,500.00 - $254,000.00
New York: $146,800.00 - $302,400.00
Washington: $140,100.00 - $278,200.00
Maryland: $140,100.00 - $266,100.00
Washington DC: $153,500.00 - $278,200.00

Vermont: $133,500.00 - $241,900.00
