Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop / maintain relationships and a focused account strategy for environmental construction services.
  • Identify, position, and pursue construction opportunities in the remediation and heavy civil markets (including national opportunities) with Haley & Aldrich Client Account Managers.
  • Support the full business development cycle, including lead generation, client meetings, opportunity qualification, capture planning, and close-out of sales.
  • Participate in face-to-face business development activities, including targeted outreach and limited cold calling.
  • Cook up with internal teams to advance opportunities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to advance opportunities.
  • Support proposal development efforts, including scope development, coordination, and contribution to written content.
  • Demonstrate a service-first approach by listening to clients and internal teams, anticipating needs, and following through on commitments.
  • Travel nationally to meet clients, attend conferences, participate in bid walks, and work with proposal teams in Haley & Aldrich offices, as needed.

Skills/Experience

  • Minimum Skills and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2 to 5 years of related experience that includes a business development or sales focus.
  • Experience in the environmental services industry.
  • Experience working for, or collaborating with, consulting firms.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, plan, and execute actions needed to progress and close sales.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience supporting proposal development and technical writing.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a client-facing role.
  • Professional approach with strong follow-through, accountability, and reliability.
