Responsibilities
- Direct clinical care, providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery consultation and treatment for patients enrolled in NIDCD and other Institute and Center protocols at the NIH Clinical Center.
- Coordinating clinical care with other medical practitioners providing care to patients on the Otolaryngology Service
- Supporting the Chief in managing the clinical and research operations of the Otolaryngology Service, including such activities as scheduling and coordination of research and care activities, assisting in monitoring compliance with NIH Clinical Center policies, helping develop standard operating procedures, clinical workflows, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participating in the supervision and teaching of fellows, residents, medical students, and other trainees rotating through the clinical service.
Qualifications
- Candidates must possess an M.D. or D.O., and board-eligibility or board certification in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery is highly preferred.
- A record of scholarly clinical publications and evidence of national recognition is desired.
- A record of teaching and/or leading clinical education or training programs is also desired.
Pay
Salary is commensurate with training and relevant research experience.
