Staff Chaplain Associate-Atrium Health Cleveland-PRN

About the role

Works throughout the facility, with patients, team members and families. Walks and stands throughout the day. Talking and hearing essential to communicate with patients, team members and families. Is free of any physical liability which would preclude discharge of normal pastoral duties.

Responsibilities

• Performs individual pastoral visitation, and provides additional services or therapies as requested or appropriate
• Ensures appropriate response and follow-up on all referrals
• Works to effect appropriate liaison with clergy by coordinating spiritual care with community clergy
• Provides Spiritual Care and counseling to patients and families
• Engages in pastoral activities other than those specified above only with prior permission and full awareness of Director
• Takes initiative to maintain active and regular supervisory meetings with immediate Supervisor, and regularly reports professional activities to same
• Maintains confidentiality of all pastoral work and conversation

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Theological Seminary or Divinity School required
• Ordination and/or licensed by recognized ecclesiastical authority/denomination required
• 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education by an accredited ACPE center required within 1 year or hire

Qualifications

• Board Certification with the Association of Professional Chaplains within two years of hire
• Located within a 30-minute drive of Atrium Health Cleveland for on-call duties

Pay

$25.30 - $37.95 based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training
