Staff Autonomy Engineer (MHE Vision)

Responsibilities

• Own the core autonomy software stack for MHE Vision products
• Design and implement perception, localization, and scanning algorithms for vehicle-mounted systems
• Document existing systems and plan for future revisions
• Collaborate with hardware and ML teams to enhance system performance
• Improve scan accuracy through algorithm optimization and sensor integration
• Diagnose real-world system issues and implement improvements
• Lead design enhancements and testing of the software architecture

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience in autonomy, robotics, or perception systems
• At least 3 years working on physical hardware in production environments
• Strong proficiency in C++ and Python for embedded systems
• Hands-on experience with computer vision pipelines
• Experience in debugging deployed systems through log-based diagnosis
